Roger Federer Surgery – Out For Next Four Months

Roger Federer has undergone knee surgery and will miss the upcoming tournaments in Dubai, Bogota, Indian Wells, Miami and the entire clay-court swing including the French Open.

World number three Federer underwent arthroscopic surgery on Wednesday in Switzerland, after he revealed he has been suffering due to it for some time now

“My knee has been bothering me for a little while now.

“I hoped it would go away but after an examination and discussion with my team, I decided to have arthroscopic surgery in Switzerland on Wednesday. After the prcedure, the doctors confirmed it was the right thing to have done and are very confident of a full recovery.

“As a result, I will, unfortunately, have to skip Dubai, Bogota, Indian Wells, Miami and the French Open. I’m grateful for everyone’s support. I can’t wait to be back playing again soon, see you on the grass.”

Federer hopes to return for the grass court swing and of course his favourite grand slam Wimbledon, before the 2020 Olympics in Tokyo.

Let’s hope he recovers in time!
