Roger Federer is the only tennis player in the ten highest paid athletes of all time.
According to a report published by Sportico, Federer is the only tennis ‘billionaire’. With an inflation adjusted earning of US $ 1.12 billion he is at No 10 in the list of top-25 highest paid athletes of all time.

His non-inflation adjusted earning is $1b, which puts him at No 7 on the list.
“Jordan is the highest-paid athlete of all time, with inflation-adjusted career earnings of $2.62 billion—and only 6% of the total is from his playing contracts with the Chicago Bulls and Washington Wizards,” wrote Sportico.

While American athletes dominate the list — six of the top-8 are from the USA– football stars Lionel Messi and Cristiano Ronaldo also made the list.
Ronaldo is at No 5 having earned $1.24b, while Messi is No 8 with an earning of $1.14b.

Federer is a 20-time Grand Slam champion and currently shares the record of most number of majors with his closest rivals Rafael Nadal and Novak Djokovic.
The 40-year-old underwent a third knee surgery this summer and is hoping to return to action in 2022.
