Following Nick Kyrgios’ 7-6 (8-6) defeat to Roger Federer at the charity Rally For Relief event, he was asked about Federer’s form and overall performance. Spoken in good spirit and with a smile on his face he expressed his admiration for the current World No.3.
“What can I say…he told me he had a day off today and didn’t really do anything, then he came out here and beat me again! I am sure he will be in the final again this week…and I’ll be watching!” Kyrgios said.

Kyrgios is no stranger to controversy with his regular outbursts on and off the court has become the tennis Marmite for tennis fans…you either love him or you hate him!
Roger Federer seems to have a good relationship with the Australian “We get along very well, we’ve had some epic matches along the years. This was fun tonight. This was not about winning or losing” Federer said.

Even though Roger Federer pointed out that it’s not about winning or losing, as we saw above, he judged Nick’s performance on the field on Wednesday. “Yeah, it was ok”. Federer responded which aroused waves of laughter from the crowd.
