Stan Wawrinka wasn’t too pleased with Holger Rune during their Paris Masters match on Tuesday and told him to ‘stop acting like a baby on court’ after the match.
In a two-hour, 30-minute contest that finished after midnight on Court 1, Rune saved three match points for a 4-6, 7-5, 7-6(3) victory over the Swiss.

“My advice to you is that you stop acting like a baby on court,” the 37-year-old veteran told Rune after shaking hands at the net.

A finalist in three of his past four events, including a title run in Stockholm, Rune has now won 14 of his past 16 matches.

Though the 19-year-old Dane was shot up the rankings impressively, he has ruffled a few feathers with his behaviour.
At the French Open, he got involved in a war of words with the usually cool Casper Ruud.

“I don’t know Holger personally, but I have seen on TV that sometimes there can be a lot of drama,” Ruud had said at the time.
“He’s young and new, so that’s excusable, but when you’re on a big stage, it might be time to grow up a bit.”
