It’s a feud that is nowhere close to ending, as Boris Becker and Nick Kyrgios continue to take swipes at each other.

In the latest segment of the online-clash, on Wednesday, Kyrgios uploaded a photograph of himself from an edition of the Laver Cup on Instagram, captioning it ‘Different breed.’

Becker soon commented on the post, stating, “In your dreams.”

“Hating like a little groupie,” Kyrgios replied. “Lingering around like a bad smell, maybe hoping to get more likes and follows. Unfortunately never be as influential,” Kyrgios replied.

Later that night, the mercurial Australian took to Twitter to aim another shot at Becker, this time alluding to Becker filing for bankruptcy in 2017.

Unusual tennis facts: What’s that on top of the Wimbledon Trophy?

“He’s gone from wanting to coach me, obviously for his desperate need of a pay check, to hating on my Instagram. Strange world we live in,” read his post.

Where it all began

The social media fight started back in June when videos emerged of Alexander Zverev attending a party in the South of France despite him claiming that he would be under self-isolation after the Adira Tour debacle.

Becker then struck out at Kyrgios, calling him a ‘rat’ for criticising a fellow player.

Since then, the duo have been going at each other, with Kyrgios calling the German a ‘doughnut’ and, after the Australian took a shot at US Open semi-finalist Pablo Carreno Busta, Becker claimed that Kyrgios “should really shut up. He has become a loudspeaker, criticizes other players, and doesn’t do anything himself. I don’t know athletes like that.”

Since lockdown, the 25-year-old has been vocal on social media, getting into a war of words with Borna Coric, lashing out at Novak Djokovic’s Adria Tour, criticised the US Open for holding the event admits the pandemic, and recently claiming the French Open organisers were not being responsible.
